I am an assistant professor in the Department of History and American Studies at the University of Mary Washington, where I teach classes on United States history, colonial America, Native American history, culture contact, environmental history, and historical methods.

This website is intended to model the website and research assignments of my students in History 298: History Practicum as they develop their own topics. My website and assignment will reflect one of my current research and writing projects, which examines a 1668 New York rape case involving Mary Miller and Nangenutch alias Will, a Montauk Indian.
